I'm certainly at a loss how to argue for the VERY steep and thorny learning curve for "actually learning computering" and then having to be honest and say "it takes a decade"

@sushee@ohai.social I feel this is a continuation of what we already saw with "GenX" being the only generation left that knows how computers _work_ - and thus are over represented as Open Source maintainers, bare metal bringups etc. (To any non-GenXer - this is a bell curve. Of course it has tails, I'm not trying to claim you don't exist) Now we'll end up with "Millennials and Gen Z" being the last ones that know how to do manual development altogether in a not-to-distant future.
