Front screen of my Pixel 9 fold has stopped working. Almost certainly a hardware failure. I flashed from @GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social back to stock Android and the problem persists. It takes ages to boot now as well. Probably probing for hardware that doesn’t respond. It’s back running Graphene but WhatsApp refuses to get past the Welcome screen despite switching all the protections off. I’m not sure if that is hardware or software so the plan is to reflash to stock Android and see if WhatsApp works. Not that I like or want WhatsApp - my networks use it and moving them to @signalapp@mastodon.world is a slow and arduous process. I’ll see how much it costs to fix the Pixel. The inner screen works okay and it will make a good media player and a portable SSH machine if I plug a keyboard in with stock Android. Not what I wanted but what I’ve got.
