A new report says #transport should be central to planning if #UK cities are to meet growing housing demand, support economic growth and create better places to live. Liveable by Design: Building healthy, connected cities, published through #London Transport Museum’s Interchange programme with Arcadis, Gowling WLG and Hitachi Rail, argues transport, housing and development should be planned together from the outset under a shared long-term vision. It highlights transit-enabled development, where transport helps unlock wider economic and social benefits, and warns that developments without good public transport can limit access to jobs, education and services.
