when i first got a journal, specifically because i Wanted to journal, i got the refillable binder types because i liked that it was modular. i had planned to use it for TTRPGs. for character journals and sheets rather than my own. being able to swap out pages gave me more freedom to get ~aesthetic~ with it. but i ended up writing a personal journal regularly, and falling out of playing TTRPGs. i had been using a small notebook my friend gave me for my personal journal. but now that notebook is full, and all i have left are my refillable binder sheets. so now i have a dilemma. i liked journalling in a normal notebook, because it was thinner and easier to carry around. the inability to remove pages also meant i could be less precious about ~aesthetics~. i know i can force myself to be less precious when using the refillable binder, but i think if i do use it, im gonna want to take out pages and bind them into separate notebooks one day. binding my own notebooks together seems like a fun project, but at the same time, i do still balk at the thought of Added Work lmao.
