The fact that one cannot simply fork Linux, because a zillion corporate interests would lobby *hard* against any attempt, essentially means Linux is fully corporate owned. This is why it's grown into such a "mess", and growing hard, single point dependencies on trash architecture (e.g systemd).

@jripley@mastodon.social there’s linux-libre I guess, but the fsf don’t seem to be particularly savvy stewards of social good either
