I fairly clearly remember government cheese that was wrapped in foil inside that sort of shoebox box each ginormous loaf of wrapped cheesestuff came in, and yet I'm not sure that packaging ever actually existed (or at least I can't find a photo of it where it's not some kind of plastic or similar wrapper) How strange 🧀
