A replica Tyne and Wear Metro train will return to Tiny Toon at Newcastle’s Old Eldon Square for a third year, giving children the chance to explore and play during the summer holidays. The free play village runs from 20 July to 31 August and attracted more than 105,000 visitors last year. Children can pretend to drive the mini Metro wearing hi-vis vests and hats or ride in the carriage. Delivered by NE1 with local partners, including #Metro operator Nexus, Tiny Toon recreates Newcastle with miniature versions of well-known buildings, shops and attractions, complete with themed props and dressing-up outfits.
