#Birmingham Moor Street Station has been temporarily renamed Bellingham Moor Street ahead of England’s World Cup semi-final against Argentina on Wednesday, Chiltern Railways has announced. Customers travelling through the station will see the new sign on Platform 3 before the match. The temporary name and signage will remain in place for as long as England stay in the tournament. Chiltern Railways said the change recognises #England midfielder Jude Bellingham, who was born in Stourbridge and is one of the West Midlands’ best-known sporting figures. Birmingham Moor Street is also close to Birmingham City, Bellingham’s boyhood club. Michael Stewart, Commercial and Customer Strategy Director at Chiltern #Railways, said the rename was intended to show support for England and wished the team and Bellingham the best ahead of the semi-final.
