Every time I read a book or finish a show/movie, I wonder… what if I was in the pages of the book? Or in the scenes of the movie? What if I fell in love with the villain? What if I was the villain? So many possibilities go through my head that make me want to read the book again or rewatch the movie/show. There’s just something about imagining myself in the story that makes it feel completely different every time. I always end up making up random scenarios in my head and thinking, “Okay, but what would’ve happened if I was there?” 😭 Would I have changed the ending? Would I have made everything worse? Would I have become best friends with the main characters, or accidentally started half the drama? Sometimes I imagine being the hero, sometimes the side character, and sometimes the person causing absolute chaos for no reason at all lol. The worst part is that once the idea gets stuck in my head, I can’t stop thinking about it. Suddenly I’m replaying scenes, changing conversations, making up entirely new storylines, and creating a whole alternate version of the plot that probably makes no sense. Then I end up wanting to reread the book or rewatch the show all over again just to see how my version compares. Honestly, half the fun of finishing a story isn’t even finishing it—it’s all the “what if” scenarios that come after. My brain refuses to let the characters rest in peace and immediately starts throwing them into completely different situations. 😭 So yeah… if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to get emotionally attached to fictional characters and then spend way too much time imagining yourself in their world, welcome to my head lol.
