This barely relates to the article and the obvious problem.
Sure, they provided a generic pilot image that may have been ai generated and some random small plane. But doing so communicates stereotypes and does not communicate anything of value. Hence they shouldn’t have used this opportunity to push their stereotypes.
Also, this is a horror story and I would have rather not read it. But that’s another issue. And I didn’t notice the gender in writing but only skimmed the tweet. Hence harm was done. This isnt a story about empowerment after all but considers a pilot who is a woman a regular and usual occurrence. Or at least I did while reading.

There are no less than 5 references to her gender in the first tweet. Not disagreeing with you, but it’s difficult to miss that the pilot was a woman.
