It just feels like everything in the country is slowly and progressively grinding to a halt, some of the more vulnerable parts getting there faster than others but everything will eventually unless this weather breaks. Sure there are costs to climate mitigation or adaption, but this is the cost of not doing it.

@afewbugs@social.coop when the temps here (Portland, OR, US) get above 37 or so our trains have to run at either a reduced speed or stop completely because the electrical wires start to melt. That means many people can't go anywhere. I would actually like to see a report like this for our heat waves.
