@lennybacon@infosec.exchange Yes, it's not much more than an inconvenience, and maybe I find it more annoying than it really is.
I always keep Firefox opened, and I would enable the option to clear the cookies whenever Firefox starts freshly (for privacy), but since I boot so often, it would take forever to log in everywhere every time, so I have to remember to clear the cookies manually. 🙄
Often, I have several file-manager windows with different directories, which takes half a minute to recreate. Then there's VLC which can't remember the same fucking playlist file I've had for years (also takes 15s). Some of the autostart apps force themselves into the foreground and infuriatingly prevent me from reaching the desktop for a short while, and so on. 🫠

@pixelcode@social.tchncs.de understand. I don’t keep tabs in the browser. command line sessions persist. so that part is easy. but… I cannot tell you how often I asked myself why all the „offline media players“ do not resume where they were left…
