@CppGuy@infosec.space dd == “destroy disk.” But I have used that command hundreds of times, and I have not yet once destroyed a disk.
Only one time I had a scare: the command failed because I specified the input source twice. Had I flipped the input and output, that would have been the first time I destroyed a disk.
But it hasn’t happend (yet).

@ramin_hal9001@fe.disroot.org No, I don't think I've caused wholesale lossage with it, either. Not yet, anyway. But it's not great that the syntax is completely nonstandard and that i and o are right next to each other on the keyboard.
