@astronomerritt@hachyderm.io I have mostly gone for the last option, my page is basically just text. It's probably not optimal for gathering readers, but it's not really what I'm after anyway, it's also nice in that my whole page is tiny, the whole blog coming down to under 3 mb for the complete thing, loads quickly on all connections and so on. I agree with you though, if I see a picture that is obviously generated I really do not feel like reading the text, since I'm having the feeling in the back of my mind that I'm just reading something an LLM spewed out.

Pls note: the argument is also true about pretty much everything we use and own: anything you use where someone in the production chain (earth itself and her nonhuman inhabitants included) that is not treated as you would want to be treated or paid the wage you are willing to work for, we have effectively stolen. That we use the hidden threat of military violence and other methods to coerce ppl to cooperate changes nothing to the equation. So we should perhaps take a hard look at our lives and see what (probably few) items we buy and what we steal. And act accordingly.
