One of the places i'm looking to apply to for an apprenticeship unexpectedly already opened their applications, so I spent some time yesterday looking up tips for writing cover letters and CVs and such. I was surprised to learn that stuff DID change since the last time I had to think about such things. That's fascinating to me because it's not like I've been in the business of having a job for decades and have spent several of those at my last employer or something. I'm in fact at the tail end of my FIRST job, which I have had for quite a few years, but not a full decade!

@punktrock@sunny.garden After 7 years in one job, an ex-colleague encouraged me to apply to his new company. It turned out I was out of practise at doing interviews. Then another ex-colleague invited me to apply for another job, and I nailed it!
