Had a conversation with my dad recently, and I was floored when he was surprised that I think Musk is a literal moron. My dad is an aviation engineer, and genuinely brilliant, so I thought he’d see through the bullshit, too, but he hasn’t. I explained that not only have I seen all the places Musk has been bullshitting people in fields I have a lot of knowledge in, but professionals in other fields do, too. When he says shit in your field, it’s totally obvious he’s a moron, and I’m nowhere near the first to say that. I guess my dad has never heard him talk about aeronautics. Musk is a walking, talking Dunning-Kruger effect with a huge trust fund. That is all.
