H.R. 7757 was introduced by Representative Brett Guthrie on March 3, 2026, and was passed by the House on June 29. This bill brings together several measures — including the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) and the Children and Teens' Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2.0) — to require certain online platforms to adopt stronger safeguards for minors. I voted yes on this bill because it provides a meaningful step toward establishing overdue, baseline protections for children online and ensuring families have the legal tools to seek justice when kids are put in harm’s way... ...Please know that I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on H.R. 7757.
