So, we’ve talked about #Flock cameras and why they should be destroyed on sight. And it seems some folks are listening. Lots of towns have cancelled their contracts, but now the big boys are starting to cancel. The #LAPD, a department that has never seen a technology they won’t abuse, has dumped Flock. “This contract is not being renewed because of serious concerns around civil liberties and civil rights issues, particularly around privacy and the data that is being collected from these cameras,” LAPD’s chief information officer Dean Gialamas told ABC in a statement.
