@darkuncle@infosec.exchange I saw a couple of stories about desalination advances recently - one was that, and the other was different again - some kind of big net-like thing that produced impressive quantities of potable water. I do think those have great potential to transform life in places that don't have the freshwater resources some of us are used to.
