@mike@social.chinwag.org My 2013 iMac running Linux Mint with its i5-2500 CPU and 16Gb of RAM is still perfectly adequate for the rather demanding requirements of web development. To me, the only tangible benefit of modern computers is improved power efficiency.
And the newest game I play regularly is Mario Kart Wii.

@apa@oldbytes.space @mike@social.chinwag.org it's a little newer than your 2013 iMac, but I've got a ThinkPad T550 with a Core i5 5300U and 16GB of RAM and some SATA SSD or another. It also runs Linux and I use it pretty often still. It's not my main computer, I've got an M2 MacBook Air, but it could be. It works great.
