That hasn't and won't change. What *has* changed is the media, happily platforming fascists nowadays, making it a lot harder, especially considering Corp. social media being rigged for fascism. Likewise other politicians, talking with fascists and hence following populist media trends, pretending they're doing legitimate politics when it's just lies and racism with some nationalist flag-shagging, often hurting the interests of said nation - see BREXIT.
