@jeffowski@mastodon.world @fnord@chaos.social Why? Because not everyone is in the same emotional place as you. I'm in my 60s and generally as hard as nails, but it just happens I'm vulnerable today and I don't need to be both tearful and angry at the fucked-up world my children and grandchildren will be living in, when it's after 10pm and I'm on my way to bed to be up at 6am to do a job that directly affects public safety. Being angry and sleepless is not really an option, see? For other people it's just that most of the social media scumsites jam bad news in our faces all day every day because it generates more clicks for advert revenue, and we like to spend some time on positive stuff.
