My file server is all buttoned up and has fans in front of the NVME SSDs now. When they're running they drop the SSD temperature from 35 to 25 degrees C, which is great. They're also pretty silent. (The fans aren't actually running in this picture, because I don't have a permanent power hookup for them yet. You'd think 12V is easy to come by inside a server chassis, but you'd be wrong...)
