getting aroused would make me grimace—not all the time, but often enough—and i got teased about how i didn't look like i was having fun. id laugh it off and, frankly, mask up to cover it, but that was absolutely accurate: it wasn't fun.
that it might turn into fun didn't make it fun on its own.
that it required me to turn it into fun or feel shitty made it worse.

and now that's... gone? so far? i can get wound up and just... stay there, pleasantly fizzy and turned on, and then let it go. and letting it go doesn't feel bad or disappointing, it's just... the moment has passed. …
