@DejahEntendu@dice.camp I've had a look at the summaries of both books, they look intriguing. Especially Ammonite seems interesting. I'm going to put that on my list.
Have you listened to or read A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine? It's a scifi novel with a bit of a sapphic storyline, though it's definitely not a romance novel. It's the most recent scifi book I read (a few years ago already, but still)

@inkandashes@lgbtqia.space I did read A Memory Called Empire a few years back. I read it around the same time as another book with a similar premise and in the way my mind works, the two got tangled up. But because they weren't the same universe, I think I wasn't actually able to give it the read it deserved. It's been on my re-read list for a bit. Thanks for the reminder!
