RE: https://toot.community/@support/116912681948668699 These statistics are the reason we moved to a model of requiring a reason and approval. There's a lot of great work happening behind the scenes to automate more of these spam detections and take automated action and I'm hopeful we will get to a much better place soon where we can seriously review re-opening signups to be public again but we didn't have capacity when you see 80% or so of the accounts being spammers / bots / bad actors in general.
