@neatnik@social.lol hey, I was inspired by your recent updates to your AI policy to write something about mine. It’s not as clear cut as yours but I think either way it’s important to be transparent about this stuff. I know it wasn’t your intention, but thanks for the (passive) encouragement.

Lately it’s that lack of honesty that’s been bothering me more than AI itself; watching people bemoan the evils of the technology while simultaneously pumping out insane amounts of code alongside meticulously-researched multi-thousand-word daily essays. I don’t care who uses AI or how, but seeing people denounce it to score ethical brownie points while still routinely benefitting from it is just depressing.
