A couple of thoughts on Ann Widdecombe:
1. Murdering people is wrong. If she was murdered, then I do not condone that in any way, and I hope that they get whoever did it and lock them up for a long time.
2. I don't get this "you must not speak ill of the dead" thing. The dead should be remembered for who they were, not who we would have liked them to be. Widdecombe was a nasty piece of work. She was anti-abortion, pro-death penalty, anti-LGBT rights, and, as prisons minister, directly responsible for the policy of shackling pregnant prisoners. Just because she was kind to animals doesn't mean she should be remembered with fondness.
