Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park is a major incarnation of what I'm gonna call the Middle Class Knowledge Worker Competency Mythology Hero.
We'll call him McKnowhe for short.
Dr. McKnowhe isn't the strongest or toughest hero, and he isn't rich. But he's quick thinking, fast on his feat, and a walking encyclopedia about his field & probably a few other things. Like the Doctor, he's as likely to run as fight, but when he fights, he fights smart.

Unlike other hero archetypes, McKnowhe is almost always paired with his equally badass femme counterpart, Doctor McKnowshe. Dr. Ellie Satler is of course one of the ultimate McKnowshes. McKnowshe usually displays most of McKnowhe's characteristics, just through a different gender lens. #mcknowhe #mcknowshe #jurassicpark #laurdern
