“Don’t speak ill of the dead” is more about not starting a fist fight at the funeral.
In other words, when a horrible person dies, wait until the relatives and friends leave before watering the flowers.

@akareilly@hachyderm.io wrt the fisticuffs and funerals aspect I completely agree. However ... speaking about politicians who may or may not have shuffled off recently, it's worth acknowledging that these bastards have been dead inside for a long long time. The only tragedy is that the hardware took so long to catch up.
