2/2 It's my own last bottle, so there's that, but also--Philipp Catoir told me they haven't produced a Beerenauslese (typically, 160-200 g/l) in "quite some time" due to "changing weather conditions," i.e., too warm or heavy rain at the wrong time re: creating botrytis. (They WILL produce two Auslesen currently, he said.) We might be nearing the end of the road for B.A. Let's hope not. 10% alc, $50 per half back then. #wine #riesling #germany #pfalz
