Extinguish. uBO on Vivaldi will soon be no longer. The longer folks rely on chromium browsers, the longer big tech gets away with it. Another tech company trying to convince you that you don't have a choice.

@crocodisle@woof.tech is uBO better than uBOL? I like the declarative nature of it but not sure how it affects the "performance" of it https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBOL-home

@crocodisle@woof.tech I don't so much care about blocking ads, as selectively blocking scripts, that if 3rd party can be malicious, and if 1st party can interfere with the content because the website builder was an idiot. I find uMatrix best for that and it doesn't run on Vivaldi. I fount "The Guardian" web site (and others) unusable with Vivaldi. It they are serious about being an alternative they need their own browser instead of reusing someone else's engine. Firefox has gradually got worse.

@crocodisle@woof.tech @patterfloof@meow.social I have Vivaldi for the times I need a chromium based browser. For every day use I have multiple mozilla based solutions installed instead. If twitch didn't screw up more on them than in vivaldi, I'd probably never open it...
