@failedLyndonLaRouchite@mas.to - Machine Learning can be great. ML breakthroughs in medicine and climate science for example is awesome. ML has been here long before AI LLMs and surveillance platforms. Further, datacenters for cloud computing and the like are fine. They've also been around a lot longer than the current plague of AI LLM datacenters have been. "AI" LLMs are terrible. These massive data centers are feeding tools for control, surveillance, and power influence. They cause massive issues in local power grids, water treatment, noise pollution, etc. They are an order of magnitude larger, more costly to communities, more dangerous to local and global environments. They are not the same. Take your strawman elsewhere. #AI
