#ColossalBiosciences is growing #chickens in a 3D-printed container
In an early step towards artificial wombs, a #biotech company claims it’s developed a “fully artificial” chicken #egg as part of its effort to resurrect extinct avian species, including birds like the dodo and the giant moa.
Colossal was founded in 2021 with plans to use gene editing and reproductive technology to restore extinct species, including the woolly mammoth.

@BenjaminHCCarr@hachyderm.io ”Colossal, a company with a long history of bullshit claims, has another bullshit claim” would have been a much better headline, given how many people just read the headline. This is the MIT tech review using click bait headlines to drive traffic and putting in sceptical disclaimers in the text so they can claim they are still being responsible journalists, they are not.
