Before USB sticks, before cloud storage, there were floppy disks. Which one was your first? Mine was the 5.25-inch, and I still remember the sound of the drive reading it. I'd also love to hear what machine you used it with.

@r1w1s1 mine was a 3.0 inch. Followed by 5.25 inch … because 3.5 inch were 25% more expensive. Money well wasted.

@r1w1s1 Started with 3,5" floppies - which were not floppy at all 😂 Was back in the 90's

@r1w1s1 I was too small to operate them myself, but my first exposure to floppy disks was via 5.25-inch. It was on an ES-1840 machine. That's basically a Soviet clone of Intel 8086. No hard drive, so you had to use first floppy drive to boot DOS (AlphaDOS) and the second one to boot the program you need. I played the very first Prince of Persia on it. I still own some of those floppy disks. Can't verify if they work, though.

@r1w1s1 ZX Spectrum clone (Pentagon 128) with 5.25 drive. By the way this "Boedem" brand floppy on the picture, never seen that (and I had maybe 70-80 of various floppies), however there was a "Boeder" brand.
