IMPORTANT NECK FAN UPDATE: turns out at least some of these things don't have the brains to detect or stop an overcurrent condition. Spouse's fan failed by one fan (there are two) migrating away from its position and fouling against the plastic body, and this thing's dumbass controller board kept trying to turn it. As we know, a stalled DC motor is a dead short, and that fan got mighty hot mighty fast and it didn't blow a fuse or give an error code or nothing. I'm not a huge fan of wearing a dead damn short, connected to a lithium battery, around my NECK, so the ones I've given to friends and family now come with a quick "heads up, if you feel one fan stop turning or start rattling then take this thing off your neck Immediately OK"
