The US war of aggression in Iran is effectively based on this: The United States is absolutely desperate to affirm their deep petrostate commitment to keeping regional comprador states safe (which it cannot.) This includes safeguarding their ability to trade and ship petroleum (which they cannot.) The MoU gives Iran the responsibility for planning and executing safe shipping lanes (including service fees.). IF the united states capitulates to this agreement, they will lose petrostates. This will return the american dollar to 70s levels of inflation and ultimately crash the US economy without petrodollars to prop it up. So the united states is trying to weasel out of the agreement by creating its own shipping lanes, a violation of the MoU
