With today's run, I've also reached my goal of running 1,000k in 2026. (Actually, I reached it on Friday but didn't notice then.)
I've also covered the first 100k with my new Nike Vomero Plus shoes (aka the "Alfa Vomeros"). I'm getting more used to the cushioning, and they don't feel wobbly anymore. I'm happy with them, and I think they make me a little faster. I will say, though, that they are much better for roads than trails, so for mixed-surfaces runs like today, I need some other shoes.

After a night of bad sleep (sick kid), getting out the door for this morning run demanded quite an effort. And #running it demanded quite an effort. But the sun was warm on my skin. The beach and the sea were beautiful. R.E.M.'s "Reveal" was the perfect soundtrack. I have the ability to run. There is so much to be grateful for. We move in herds. This will be another good day.
