@healyn@normal.style the thing with Starship Troopers is, the book makes a point and eschews the meathead tropes attributed to it. The USMC had it on the Commandant’s reading list for TRANDOC The movie also made a valid point about the text, so much so that it hurts to try and make a close reading Truffaut was right, you can’t make an anti-war movie, because to portray something is to ennoble it
