So, as usual, I'm late to the party. I had no idea that Star Trek: Renegades was made 11 years ago. So getting over my usual trepidation of indie/fan Star Trek productions, I had a go.
Star Trek: Renegades was actually better than it had any right to be. While rough around the edges it was a worthy watch and fun and exciting.
which was then followed by:
Star Trek Renegades: The Requiem was one of the most disappointing follow-ups ever. Nice try but, no.
Also, Paramount is a fuck. I'm not judging them by how the studio forced them to alter things to remove star trek IP.

The first one was a good, cohesive story with a menacing villain, good pacing, mostly decent acting and script. The second felt like a bit of a mess. The characters were just... there, but it seemed like no one had a real function. It lacked all of the good qualities of the first.
