I think Messi is an apolitical capitalist idiot, but I can’t say he’s a Zionist. Messi going to the Western Wall or a photo with war criminal Netanyahu are all wearing the same FC Barcelona Jersey because he went there for football friendlies in 2013 and the fascist locals roped him into these silly things for their own propaganda. Argentina in 2018 cancelled a friendly match due to BDS pressure. He’s definitely not an ally, but not an enemy. Best thing is to pressure him to enforce BDS like other celebrities.
