It only takes a letter of intent and 500 signatures by July 21 to become a candidate in the process to replace Platner here in #Maine.
I'm high enough right now to be a tiny bit tempted, but only because we have no radical candidates in this race, and because I'm an #anarchist who would not take being a senator seriously, not in the way they want. Because I can't take seriously this fascist regime nor the liberals who compromise our rights into obscurity.
Imagine Abbie Hoffman in the courtroom during the Trial of the Chicago Seven. That would be me.

It's an interesting thought experiment, and mostly I'm just frustrated that all we will have is a handful of bloodwarm candidates who are more concerned with their political career aspirations than they are the fascist takeover, the climate crisis, and the genocides in which we're complicit, to name just a few things. A bunch of people who think that we need to work together in unity with people across the aisle while families are being torn apart, people are being torn apart, and we round people up and put them in concentration camps. But these candidates want to be civil, and I'm so sick of this bullshit. I think maybe I should stick with my zines. AOC was a bartender, though, right?
