UK is close to finallsing a law that would criminalise publishing any information provided by ”state threats”. This would likely concern for example Hamas or Hezbollah, which publish civilian casualty numbers that journalists rely on, because Israel’s numbers are pure propaganda. Should this become law, a journalist could then face up to 14 years in prison for publishing it.
