Creepiest Jim Henson creation of all time. These things were so terrifying World of Warcraft created a whole race of evil bird people in their first expansion The Burning Crusade, called Skettis in Terrokar Forest among other zones. EDIT: I'm remembering wrong, their capital city was called Skettis, they were called Arakoa---but look at the art.

@VikingWays@nicecrew.digital Dark Crystal was too far ahead of its time, much like another 1982 classic - Blade Runner. While Dark Crystal was not considered a bomb - it did OK - it underperformed. More shocking, Labyrinth, despite having corrected what were seen as boxoffice damaging problems with Dark Crystal (no humans on screen, grimdark tone), did even worse.
