Happy to announce the release of libcamera 0.7.2 "Würzburg". Notable items here which are great for the community include fixes and performance improvements to the SoftISP supporting mobiles and laptops. With working color correction now we can look forwards to tuned cameras on open source devices! See the release notes at https://lists.libcamera.org/pipermail/libcamera-devel/2026-July/060247.html

@libcamera@floss.social very cool! i have a lazy question: lets say i have a usb (uvc) raw video source, can i use libcamera for debayering and color tuning, and would it create another video device for consumption by applications?

@libcamera@floss.social and already shipping in #postmarketOS edge - including some experimental CCM tuning files \o/ Thanks for spinning up that release! For other #linuxmobile devs/users (e.g. #mobian): you might want to a look at the downstream tuning changes in https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/merge_requests/8991 - hopefully to be upstreamed in the near future (would need more sensor drivers to be upstream in the kernel).
