#ScribesAndMakers Do you prefer when a time traveler can choose a specific time/place to go, or when they don't have control over it?
I've written 2 time travel novels. In both the time-traveler was hijacked into travel. Jean Lafitte the Pirate King returned to Katrina-threatened New Orleans because Jazzy controlled his ship-in-a-bottle. In WWWMTTW, the Dauphine, his assassin, plus the 3 grannies were all brought back by Etoile's ditty. The time-travel world is at the mercy of my female MCs.

@ellenmorrisprewitt@writing.exchange I am now thinking of an inadvertent time traveller who can only go back in time. But each time they go back, they unknowingly do something that affects their future self, opening up a different timeline for them, multiple versions all slightly altered in time. Each time they go back in time more things change. Each iteration of their alternate timeline selves has been trying to go back to undo the changes and stop their first time travelling self from doing more. Eventually they all meet....
