🕊️Pigeons are the familiars of Hachiman, god of archery, war and warriors. The birds feature prominently on the float yukata.
Two sculpted pigeons, representing marital harmony, sit atop Hachiman-yama's (八幡山) gate.

🐟Koi-yama (鯉山) tells the legend of a carp that struggled up the Yellow River to become a dragon. The float's yukata feature carp and a stylised '鯉山' based on similar created by the famed artist Takeuchi Seihō (竹内栖鳳 1864-1942). #鯉山 #Kyoto
