@GrumpusNation@mastodon.social @bigzaphod@mastodon.social I was surprised to learn that The Big Bus (and its similarly absurdist style comedy) was four years before Airplane! The most recent attempt I’ve seen is the TV show Angie Tribeca (with Rashida Jones), which was more Police Squad!-inspired.
