@LaNaehForaday@universeodon.com You're absolutely right about that, a lot is sexualized in current society, for instance in music/dance. I'm not a fan of it either, and I never have been. It may have its place, but the omnipresence if it is disturbing. In my youth (early 2000's) music and music videos were already quite sexual at times, and I disliked it even back then. I rejected it partly because of that and I loved listening to older music where it's just the performer singing his/her song with a guitar for instance like in the 60s folk music.
I've also always sought for the intimacy in the sex scenes I read/ watched in sapphic fiction or films more than anything else. But I do enjoy reading/watching them and experience the emotions.
I think nowadays it's really getting to the extremes where you see on Tiktok kids copying those sexualized dance styles and basically dancing like they're already 18 years old and want to get a guy/girl home for the night. What kind of message does that imprint on a child's mind?
