Here's an interesting Sunday fact for you:
Today marks the 10 year anniversary of the Amazing Places clean room video by @tomscott and me at ISISPACE
The satellite he pointed at, Nayif-1, launched in 2017. It burned up in the atmosphere July 2023 after flawlessly performing it's mission for 6 years and 5 months.

@pa3weg @tomscott In '96 the plan was that I would go to the US for a year for the test phase and launch of a satellite. It never happened after Fokker went bankrupt which freed up people that were normally stationed at Fokker. Would have been a nice project and opportunity. I guess life would have had me in a different place as I probably never would have gotten into GSM radio planning after a stint at Nozema and there being changes where I decided to move on.
